Ting Li

Academic Title: project professor
Mailing Address: Ting Li
Education and Career History

Dr. Li received her Ph.D from National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She worked in NAOC first as a research assistant, then an associate professor. Dr. Li was promoted to project professor in 2019.

Research Fields

The main research field of Dr. Li is the triggering and evolution mechanisms of solar eruptive activities, including

1) What are the physical nature and observational characteristics of three-dimensional magnetic reconnection?

2) How are solar flares generated and triggered? What are the factors determining the eruptive character of solar flares?

3) What are the fine structures and three-dimensional dynamic evolution processes of flux ropes and filaments?

4) Are coronal EUV waves MHD waves or apparent waves? What is the physical nature of coronal EUV waves?

Dr. Li has been selected by Young Elite Scientists Sponsors hip Program by CAST, the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS and NAOC Nebula Talents Program. Her two works have been selected astop-cited papers respectively by Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing and National Science Library Chinese Academy of Sciences.
