A sample of galaxy pairs identified from the LAMOST spectral survey and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey
A small fraction of sky in the footprint of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is inaccessible because of possible collisions between fibers in the telescope. This article describes a study that targets galaxy pairs that were missed in the SDSS survey due to these fiber collisions, but which are available with LAMOST. The results of this study can help to further identify galaxy pairs.
