Multiwavelength study of low-luminosity 6.7-GHz methanol masers TEXT SIZE: A A A
Our Galaxy is filled with large clouds of gas molecules. These molecules can emit radiation like radio and microwaves, and astronomers can study the size, structure and composition of these large molecular clouds by observing these signals. This article describes a new study of one of these molecular clouds using these types of observations, revealing the properties of these kinds of molecular clouds which later shrink and form stars.
