The inversion of the real kinematic properties of coronal mass ejections by forward modeling TEXT SIZE: A A A
The Sun's chromosphere, an outer layer of its atmosphere, erupts with explosions which eject hot gasses into the surrounding space. This article describes computer simulations which can help scientists better understand how these so-called coronal mass ejections shoot away from the Sun into space. The results can give astronomers a better idea of how these explosions behave and how they might better be observed.
