Multiwavelength Doppler factors for Fermi-detected gamma-ray loud blazars TEXT SIZE: A A A
Blazars are bright objects that emit large amounts of radiation over a wide range of wavelengths. In addition, blazars are generally very far away and are moving away from us, which affects their associated wavelength measurements. This article describes a study which measures how the observed wavelengths of radiation from blazars have been altered due to their motion. This study gives astronomers a better understanding of how blazars move and behave.
