IRAS F21013–0739: a possible evolutionary successor of an ultraluminous infrared galaxy TEXT SIZE: A A A
Galaxies evolve and change over time, due to motions and levels of activity of the stars they contain. This article describes a study that simulated the stars composing a special type of galaxy. The results help astronomers better understand the evolutionary history of this galaxy, especially the burst of star formation it experienced in the past, and help astronomers predict this galaxy's future evolutionary path.
