Strange star candidates revised within a quark model with chiral mass scaling TEXT SIZE: A A A
Neutron stars are compact cores that remain after a massive star runs out of nuclear fuel and explodes. Neutron stars are composed of tiny densely-packed particles called neutrons. Some astronomers also believe that another class of compact body exists called a strange star, which is composed of so-called strange quarks. This article explores properties of strange stars and how they differ from neutron stars.
