Metallicity calibration for solar type stars based on red spectra TEXT SIZE: A A A
During their process of generating energy to shine, stars produce metals from simple elements like hydrogen and helium. The amount and makeup of metals in stars are related to the stars' history and the evolution of their environment. This article highlights a study that scrutinizes the spectra of a collection of stars that are similar to our Sun, with a focus on determining which metals these stars contain. The results of this study can help data analysis in identifying stars from spectral surveys.
