Coronal mass ejections are explosions that eject material away from the Sun into space. This article describes a study where astronomers observed the Sun looking for radio emissions connected with this kind of explosion. They found that a burst of radio emissions occurred near the time that the coronal mass ejection started. The results of this study help astronomers better understand this kind of dynamic process occurring on the Sun.
