Jets of exploding gas can erupt from the Sun's surface. Understanding the dynamic process that leads to these explosions is a difficult challenge. This article describes a study that simulates three dimensional fan-shaped jets triggered from the complex magnetic forces interacting with gasses in the Sun's atmosphere, helping researchers understand this complex process.
