Variable objects change their brightness over time. Catalogs have been compiled that locate variable objects in the sky. These researchers examined some known variable objects observed in ultraviolet to identify the object causing the variability, for example, the kind of variable star. The results of this study can help astronomers better understand the relationship between ultraviolet observations and known variable objects.
