New applications of the H-reversal trajectory using solar sails TEXT SIZE: A A A
Solar sails are a way of using radiation from the Sun to propel spacecraft in our solar system. Solar sails do not require fuel, which is heavy and expensive, to maneuver the spacecraft, and so solar sails are cheaper than traditional propulsion systems. This article describes calculations of using a solar sail to change orbits of a spacecraft, helping researchers better understand the potential of solar sail technology.
