The Universe shows strange behavior that is difficult to understand, which is the observed phenomenon that it is expanding and accelerating its expansion at large distances. This article develops a mathematical theory that tries to explain this phenomenon along with associated dark energy by developing a mathematical theory about the number of dimensions in the Universe. This theory has the advantage that it can explain the accelerated expansion which occurred at different times in the past.
