Strong pulses from pulsar PSR J0034?0721 TEXT SIZE: A A A
Pulars are believed to be spinning compact neutron stars which emit radio signals as they spin, like the beacon in a lighthouse. Using a radio telescope, this article describes research which observed and detected pulsar signals much larger than ordinary ones, called giant pulses. These observations help astronomers gain more insight into these kinds of objects.
