The effects of BCGs on the statistics of large-separation lensed quasars by clusters TEXT SIZE: A A A
Gravitational lenses are large collections of mass that can bend passing light and form images of distant objects behind them. Clusters of galaxies contain enormous collections of matter, so much that they can bend light and create a gravitational lens. This article examines statistical properties of gravitational lenses formed by clusters of galaxies, helping astronomers better understand these complex objects.
