Fractal dimension and thermodynamic fluctuation properties of IDV light curves TEXT SIZE: A A A
BL Lac objects emit fast bursts of radiation and are very far from our Galaxy. Describing the thermal properties of BL Lac objects is a challenge for astronomers. Fractals are a mathematical technique to help describe complex behaviors of various phenomena. These authors apply the theory of fractal mathematics to try to more accurately describe thermodynamic properties of BL Lac objects, giving a better understanding of their behavior.
