Characteristics of convection and overshooting in RGB and AGB stars TEXT SIZE: A A A
As stars get old, they expand in size and their surfaces cool. Gases in the outer atmospheres of these old stars then move in cycling belts and erupting plumes. This article studies the dynamics of gases in the outer atmospheres of these old stars, giving researchers more insight into their behavior.
