The spectra from distant Quasi-Stellar Objects (QSOs) can be complicated and difficult for a human to interpret. These authors develop a new method of analyzing QSO spectra with a computer program, which is able to identify most of the spectral transitions more quickly than a human analyst. This new method can help astronomers more efficiently process QSO spectral data with this automated method.
