Spectroscopic study of globular clusters in the halo of M31 with the Xinglong 2.16 m telescope TEXT SIZE: A A A
Globular Clusters (GCs) are tight groupings of stars that orbit the nucleus of many galaxies. Because the stars in GCs form differently from those in the galactic disk, they are believed to have different properties than disk stars. These researchers studied GCs in the nearest large galaxy to ours, M31, and confirmed that the properties of these stars are different from M31 disk stars.
