Modeling the Newtonian dynamics for rotation curve analysis of thin-disk galaxies TEXT SIZE: A A A
Spiral galaxies like our own Milky Way generally rotate like a giant windmill. Their rotational properties are, however, complex and difficult to model. This article studies the kind of dynamics involved with the rotations of some types of galaxies by considering the complex forces at work, helping astronomers better understand this process.
