Radio observations of the first three-months of Fermi AGN at 4.8 GHz TEXT SIZE: A A A
Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) are black holes situated in the centers of galaxies where material falls into the black hole, heats up and produces radiation. This article describes observations of AGN by a radio telescope. These researchers observed variations of some AGN over the course of a day, which gives them better measurements of the properties and structure of the AGN, thus helping astronomers better understand these objects.
