Our Sun's surface shows dynamic changes in activity, and modeling this kind of activity can be challenging. This article studies the relationships of large explosions called solar flares with cooler areas called sunspots. These types of phenomena interact through the magnetic field. The interactions studied in this article can help astronomers better understand the complex dynamics of the Sun's surface.
