M dwarf stars — the by-product of X-ray selected AGN candidates TEXT SIZE: A A A
Astronomers search for active objects by conducting surveys in X-ray wavelengths. One kind of object that is not active but can still emit X-rays is an M dwarf star. This article describes a project where astronomers study M dwarf stars in order to gain a better understanding of their properties and help distinguish them from active objects.
