Properties of the early Universe are difficult for astronomers to model. Soon after it was born, the Universe expanded quickly in a process called inflation. This article proposes a method to try and describe this inflationary period in the early history of the Universe using cosmic strings. The results of this article can help astronomers better understand this complex topic.
