Trailing (L5) Neptune Trojans: 2004 KV18 and 2008 LC18 TEXT SIZE: A A A
A type of asteroid called a Trojan shares its orbit with planets in our solar system. Trojans occupy gravitationally stable regions of their orbital path. Many of these kinds of asteroids have been discovered in Jupiter's orbit, but few have been observed in the orbit of Neptune. This article describes two new members of the population of Trojans in the orbit of Neptune, contributing to the knowledge of this field.
