The gamma-ray Doppler factor determinations for a Fermi blazar sample TEXT SIZE: A A A
Blazars are objects that have black holes where material falls into the black hole and releases large amounts of energy. As energy is released, more material can be blown away from the black hole at high speeds as a jet. This article studies ways of determining the speed of material in this jet, helping astronomers better understand these powerful objects.
