Metal-poor stars formed long ago, before more metals had been manufactured in the centers of stars and distributed throughout the Galaxy. The properties of metal-poor stars help astronomers better understand how our Galaxy evolved. This article shows new examples of extremely metal-poor stars, contributing to our base of knowledge in this field.
