Astronomers have observed that our Universe is expanding and accelerating its rate of expansion. This accelerated expansion is difficult for theorists to explain. This article proposes that there is a type of fluid that permeates the Universe and exerts pressure, causing the accelerated expansion. The theory proposed in this article helps advance this field.
