Our Universe exhibits behavior that is difficult for theorists to explain. It is expanding, and its rate of expansion is accelerating. This article proposes a new model that allows the rate of expansion of the universe to change over time. The results of this article can help astronomers better understand the complex problem of universal expansion and acceleration.
