A two-step energy injection explanation for the rebrightenings of the multi-band afterglow of GRB 081029 TEXT SIZE: A A A

Gamma-Ray Bursts are enormous explosions far from Earth that release vast amounts of energy in a short time. This article studies the case of a gamma-ray burst that showed other bright activity after the initial explosion occurred. By modeling this process, astronomers can better understand this object.
