X-ray and optical plateaus following the main bursts in GRBs and SNe II-P: a hint about similar late injection behaviors? TEXT SIZE: A A A
Both gamma-ray bursts and supernovae are large explosions that release vast amounts of energy. In some cases, the pattern of radiation exhibited by these objects can be similar over a relatively long duration of time. This article explores the similarities between the energy-release mechanisms in these two types of objects, helping astronomers better understand them.
