Simulation of a ground-layer adaptive optics system for the Kunlun Dark Universe Survey Telescope TEXT SIZE: A A A
Antarctica is a good place for astronomical observations because the air is stable and dry. This article describes the plan for setting up an astronomical telescope in Antarctica that will incorporate an adaptive optics system. Unlike in other locations, turbulence in Antarctica is only effective close to the ground, so the adaptive optics system in this case can be simpler. This project will be a pioneer in this field.
