A binary star is where two stars orbit around their common center of gravity. Occasionally, the plane that contains the orbits of these stars is in the line of sight of Earth, making these stars periodically eclipse each other and change their apparent brightness. This article describes observations that study an eclipsing binary. The results of this study can help astronomers better understand these objects.
