Astronomers can study the interiors of stars by measuring vibrations that are observed on their surfaces, a field that is called asteroseismology. This article describes attempts to measure vibrations on the surface of a type of white dwarf. The results of this study can help astronomers gain a better understanding of the interiors of white dwarfs.
