Conceptual design studies of the 5 m terahertz antenna for Dome A, Antarctica TEXT SIZE: A A A

Antarctica is a good place to acquire astronomical observations because the air is much colder and drier than other places on Earth, especially at the highest region in Antarctica, Dome A. This article describes a project that proposes setting up a telescope on Dome A that can make sensitive observations in wavelengths longer than visible light. This articles gives a summary of the project, including many technical challenges that are expected.
