Researchers are interested in gaining a better understanding of minerals on the Moon and formations of craters and mountains on its surface. This article describes the results of processing data from the Moon made with the space probe Clementine. Through processing these data, astronomers can find out how materials are distributed on the surface of the Moon, helping them better understand the history and processes that shaped the lunar surface.
