Solar flares: radio and X-ray signatures of magnetic reconnection processes TEXT SIZE: A A A

Large explosions that occur on the surface of the Sun are called flares, which can erupt when the Sun's magnetic field rebounds after becoming twisted and distorted. These flares emit radiation in many wavelengths. This article explores the relationship between radio and X-ray generated by these flares, helping astronomers better understand this complex process.
