Photometric investigation of the K-type extremely shallow contact binary V1799 Orion TEXT SIZE: A A A

Binary stars can periodically eclipse each other, leading to regular changes in brightness. If these stars have surface features like starspots, astronomers can also observe these features in the light curves of these systems. This article describes a study of one such binary star system, where both periodic changes to eclipses and random changes due to starspots were observed. The data and results published in this article help astronomers better understand these systems.
