Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) arise as material flows into a black hole at the center of a galaxy. As this material flows into the black hole, it becomes very hot and radiates large amounts of radiation. This radiation affects material around the AGN. This article explores how this kind of radiation affects a kind of molecule called a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, helping to advance knowledge in this field of study.
