Relativistic algorithm for time transfer in Mars missions under IAU Resolutions: an analytic approach TEXT SIZE: A A A

Communications and time-keeping techniques that are associated with space probes traveling to other planets have become so precise that the effects of relativity need to be taken into account. This article investigates differences in clocks used for navigation in a probe launched from Earth and traveling to Mars and how that might affect communications between the Earth and Mars, helping to advance knowledge in this field.
