In recent years, large numbers of exoplanets have been discovered with different methods. However, direct imaging of exoplanets remains challenging, especially for Earth-like cases, because the parent star of the exoplanet is so much brighter that high-contrast techniques are necessary. This article proposes a new method that could be used for increasing contrast when imaging exoplanets, possibly enabling direct imaging of Earth-like exoplanets.
