Some researchers have investigated the possibility of maneuvering a spacecraft near an asteroid by using solar sails and low thrust. This article continues such a line of research by modeling the dynamics associated with this procedure. The results of this article can hopefully be applied to future space missions that will be able to study asteroids from a close distance.
