The nature of the γ-ray flare associated with blazar 3C 454.3 TEXT SIZE: A A A

A blazar can emit a burst of energy when material around its black hole moves closer to the black hole and heats up to high temperatures. This article models how radiation was emitted from a particular blazar that generated a gamma-ray flare. It also examines the motion of material that was ejected from the blazar. The results of this study can advance this field of study.
