The surviving companions in type Ia supernova remnants TEXT SIZE: A A A

Type Ia supernovae are important for measuring vast distances in the Universe and understanding the processes that generate a type Ia supernova is an ongoing research effort. This article examines models that describe type Ia supernovae and what happens after they explode, helping to advance this field of study.
