Reflectance calibration and shadow effect of VNIS spectra acquired by the Yutu rover TEXT SIZE: A A A

The Yutu rover, which was part of the Chang'e 3 mission that explored part of the surface of the Moon, carried a camera to make local measurements of reflectance. This article describes the calibration process associated with this camera, which is a necessary step involved in analyzing images that were taken by Yutu. The process described in this article can be applied to image data returned by the Yutu rover, helping to advance the goals of this mission.
